Next move

When I came back from Norway in the midst of the pandemic I was a little struck by how prescient the painting that I had left on my easel now seems (below). Aren’t we in a complicated situation with a Corvid, er, COVID, now where it’s hard to figure out the next move?

The best advice I saw today was from a children’s book by Charles Mackesy where a boy and a horse are apparently lost in a wood.
“I can’t see a way through”, said the boy.
“Can you see your next step?”
“Yes”
“Just take that,” said the horse.

My next step is ten more days of quarantine. I’m hoping we can all find our next steps through the pandemic and Everyone can stay healthy!

Please take the social distancing seriously.

  1. Lona – thinking of you every day…love from my self-isolation to your self-isolation.

happy Spring Equinox – I celebrated by spending hours on the woods…
with the Spring Beauty, Cut Leaf Tooth Wart, little Trout Lilly leaves and lots of mosses.
I thought the Yellow haze would be even stronger today…but see now yesterday was the peak and now many of the little Spice Bush blossoms have tiny little spike leaves starting to show.
I had given up on seeing any Yellow Haze (my favorite) but on my way home, I was taking a picture of a little Trout Lilly leaf and just the way I held my view…some Yello Haze appeared.

  2. When I first heard of the disease I heard it as corvid 19. That made me sad because I love and admire crows. I was really happy when I realized it was covid, not corvid.
